Eric had his manager meeting at 7am..yikes! Especially after not getting home until midnight last night from dinner with the Australian distributers (which was AWESOME) we went to a Japanese teppanyaki place where the prawns were the same size of your forearm. Huge!! Had lots of great food and drinks and got the okay from Pete to watch the game during work this morning! so nice!
So I started my day off right by watching the BCS championship at Rocco's Pizzeria..which is actually a pretty nice restaurant and has mainly breakfast food..weird. After I watched the first half of the game and realized it was pointless, I went back to work to only be pulled out to pick up our cell phones..which finally got approved..and get passport photos for my work visa! From there, we took the ferry over to Wan Chai to go to the Hong Kong Toy Fair because we heard of multiple companies knocking off our products, so we had to clean up shop! haha. It was hard to see somebody be so obvious about stealing not only our products, but our artwork as well..made my blood boil. but Pete and Sing took care of everything and we ended up walking out with 3 huge "shopping bags" full of knock-offs. :D
We were at the trade show for longer than I expected. Got there at noon..and I'm just getting home. (It's 7pm here). UGH..needless to say I wore the wrong shoes to walk a tradeshow in and my feet feel like they are crumbling everytime I step. :( so sad. I also didn't bring my camera thinking we couldn't talk pictures at the trade show..I was wrong again..so I only have photos from my phone..womp womp.
This city is seriously so beautiful and SO versatile. The nicest buildings are next to rundown buildings and down every alley is a street market full of clothes, flowers, toys, fish, fruit, etc. I'm really liking it here and wish everyone could come visit to see everything I'm seeing! It's amazing! Not to mention how absolutely spotless the city is. It's so clean, even in the areas that seem rundown. It makes me feel safe walking around by myself...even though today was my first day going to work and coming home on my own. :P
Eric's at the grocery store now getting food for the week. We've decided that we'll only eat out once every other day so that we can still be trying all the yummy food here, but not go broke! ;)
