1st night in Hong Kong!

Eric and I arrived in Hong Kong at about 8pm tonight..and managed to take 2 1/2 hours to actually get to our temporary housing. Yikes. Flight went by quickly, mainly because I slept the entire way and only watched one movie.

Tip when drinking wine on a plane: DO NOT leave half of a glass on your seat tray while sleeping when theres turbulence..you will wake up with red wine spilled all over your new sweats and sweatshirt and it does not smell great when drying. Gag.

On a lighter note, the city is absolutely stunning! Although our night, was not so great. We arrived in Hong Kong to find out that the person who was picking us up was told that our flight arrived at 6am..I seriously have NO idea how that one happened. So we stood in line for a cab and after a long confusing cab ride with a cab driver who only spoke Chinese and had no idea where we were trying to go..we finally arrived at the ACTS Wan Chai. When we got out, Pierre, the building manager mentioned that there is no elevator......uhhh whaaaa?? So we carried all of our seven 50+ pound bags up 4 flights of stairs. But when we saw our place, it made it all worth it! I'll post pics of it tomorrow when we find which suitcase we put our camera in. :P

Soooo where our apartment is looks kiiinda ghetto. Like kinda really ghetto. But apparently it's a really nice area? haha, we have a bar right downstairs too! uh ohhhhh. Pierre showed us around a bit too and we have a 711, Subway and a Starbucks all within 5 blocks! So nice! :) We still have to get use to the conversion from USD to HKD so that we can do it in our heads and realize how much we're paying for certain things..that'll come in time though..hopefully. Everyone is incredibly nice though and majority of them have British accents! So fun!

Tomorrow we're going to walk to Eric's work so that he knows how to get there Monday, and then we're going to come all the way back to the apartment and then take a trip to my work so I'll be ready! Pretty excited to walk around the city tomorrow, we'll be taking a lot of pictures so I'll try and upload them by tomorrow night :) We'll also be shopping around Time Square..holy crap. I am SO excited!! Love you all and I'll try and keep posting all of our fun adventures!
